Differences In Skin Care

Hello Beauties

I’m here today to talk about skin care and skin care brands, now many beauty therapists will tell you that you need an expensive salon worthy skin care brand as soon as you hit your twenties. I have been told that also and for a small amount of time I believed what I had been told, yes some products work the best with certain other products from the same brand but the ingredients are all the same.

Do you have to use one brand of skin care? No, you do not. Sure having the same brand products in the bathroom looks amazing but if you don’t see the products working on your skin, and remember everyone has different skin and different needs.

Find a product that works well for your skin and one that you like, stick with it and don’t worry about what the professionals say. Most of the time therapists only say that so clients buy the products that the salon they work in stocks, also if a therapist is pushing you to buy a certain product but you feel like you don’t need it or you already use that product in a different brand, than please don’t allow yourself to say yes.

It doesn’t matter how much or where you buy your skin care from, as long as it works for you and your skin has improved than don’t change it. I have brought cleansers from a cheaper supermarket brand to deal with my acne, and it worked amazingly on my skin and still does. Yet I’ve been taught to only sell the products that are stocked in the salon, the products that are more expensive and are an investment.

Although if you are concerned about aging and want a product that will work, I would suggest going for a more expensive salon brand. But I suggest to only invest in a facial cream, oil or serum, cleansers only clean the skin and are washed off so there isn’t any sense in investing in a wash off product.

I admit I do use the line of products that are stocked where I work, but only so I can get to know each product as I do have to sell the brand to clients. But people who aren’t in the beauty industry don’t need to stick with one brand, try a few and decide for yourself which ones you like and the ones that don’t work well with your skin type.

Keep in mind that the skin is slow when it comes to showing how a products is doing so take your time, there’s no rush in finding the perfect skin care routine and don’t brush off cheaper products as those products may be the one your skin loves.

What skin care products do you love? Have you ever been talked into buying a certain brand before?

Love Leann
